In the Wedding, Introduced at reception, Then Beat it
Would it be rude to ask my niece and nephew to be in the wedding 2 oclock then introduced at the reception 6 oclock then ask them to leave around 7.

In a word, yes. Always put yourself in the position of the other person. These children will be excited to be a part of the wedding party and will surely feel slighted by being asked to leave. If they are very young they will not understand but their parents will. Plus, this will be very inconvenient for the parents since they will have to either take the children home to a babysitter, leave the wedding early if they cannot get a babysitter or ask someone to retrieve them from the wedding.
It's really an all or nothing deal. If you want the children in the wedding then they should be invited to the entire reception as well.
But, I think you really knew that already. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
