My dad and step-mom are expecting a baby in September. That would make my little brother or sister 4 months old at my wedding. I really want the baby to a part of the wedding party. I have already found some really cute clothes, I just need ideas on how to get the baby down the isle. I have a 6 year old flowergirl already, I thought maybe she could push the baby down the isle in an elegant carraige, but I haven't found any I really like. If anyone has any ideas, or knows where I can find an elegant carraige, I would appricate it.

Have you spoken to your step mother about your ideas? If this were my baby I would be very worried about having a toddler pushing my infant in a rented carriage that may or may not be safe.
Although I think it is very sweet of you to want to include your new sibling I believe you should reconsider since the idea is fraught with issues. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

I agree. What you want to do is very sweet. However, it is going to be difficult enough to get your flowergirl, who at that age has been known to be a little unpredictable, down the aisle. Add on top of that the responsibility of her trying to manuever a baby down the aisle and you have a recipe for disaster. If it were my baby, I would not be willing to allow him/her to participate under the circumstances you are proposing. There are just too many variables that could go wrong.

I couldn't agree more. Young children are notorious for 'freaking out,' screaming, and jumping under the nearest skirt when the procession begins. Your baby brother or sister will be a part of your wedding by simply being seated with your step mother if you seat her as one of the mothers. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
