     Jr. Brides

I have 8 children that we feel need to be included in the wedding. We are going to have 2 flower girls and 2 ring bearers. We were going to make the other 4 Jr. Bridesmaids and Jr. Groomsmen. I have considered making them Jr. Brides and Grooms to save the cost of having jr. bridesmaids dresses made. Is is tacky to have two jr. brides and groom. I want them to be included in the ceremony- b/c they are all family.

Dear Jr. Brides,

Jr. Bridesmaids and Jr. Groomsmen would be fine, but please don't dress them as Jr. Brides and Jr. Grooms. That isn’t proper and could appear a bit odd, as if they are marrying each other.

There are also other duties your children could join in, if not attendants, to help keep the cost of attire lower. They could be candle lighters (children over the age of nine), could sit with your sign-in book, or could hand out programs. The older children could also join in a unity candle lighting.

Best wishes,
