     No flower girls just teenagers

We don't have anyone in either of our families to be flower girls, but my fiancee has three nieces between the ages of 13 and 18.

I've heard this term junior bridesmaid, but we're worried it's going to start to just be too many people walking, we're having a pretty simple wedding and we were trying to avoid a huge wedding party.

However we both want all three girls to be involved in some way..

What other ways can we include them in the wedding? What other "special" thing could we have them do?

We are having a Catholic service.

Dear Giulia,

Yes, the girls are too old to be flower girls. Many times, when this occurs, the couple can choose to use the girls as hostesses to pass out programs, direct guests to the bathrooms and then at the reception, they can help guests find their seats. This requires that they be coached on how to act but they serve a very definite purpose.
