Role for handicapped daughter in the wedding

My fiance and I are planning a July wedding. His daughter is currently 11 years old. She is slightly physically handicapped and partially blind. While I really want to include her in our special day, I'm not sure what her role should be. I thought about making her a junior bridesmaid but I'm not sure she would be comfortable walking down the aisle by herself or that she would be able to stand during the ceremony. Would it be inappropriate to have her as our guest book attendant and walk down the aisle to be seated with his mother?

First and foremost, have you discussed this with your fiance'? His input would be monumental in your decision making. If he's in agreement, it would be very special to have her seated with his mother.

I completely agree. Plus, ask her privately how she feels.
