     When Children ARE Invited

We are having an out-of-town/out-of-state, reception and chidren ARE INVITED. Are we under any obligation to supply child care if someone simply wishes to not bring their child to the reception?

No, you are not obligated to provide child care. If they choose to bring the child along then the parents are responsible to watch their own children. Of course, if you think the children will not be monitored and it could become a problem then, by all means, hire a sitter.
