my fiance's family is big and most of them have kids, will it be appropiate to have a jumper ? the hall where we are getting married has a fenced patio. what do u think of this? i just dont want all the kids running aroung and i can't say no kids. any suggestions?
Honestly...sounds like a recipe for disaster. I am envisioning screaming, falling children, bruises, cuts and scrapes! Not at all peaceful for the parents of these children or for you and your ohter guests.
Check with your reception venue and ask if they have a referral for an "entertainer" for the children. There are companies that will supply this sort of babysitting, for lack of a better word. Speaking of babysitting, you may want to try getting a special room in the reception venue (if they have one) where the children can go to be amused. You could hire a few babysitters to look after the children if you do not want them to be a part of the reception.
There are activity kits you could purchase to keep the kids occupied at a table set especially for them. Be careful about going this route since there may be parents who do not want their children sitting alone. If you are planning to have a children's table please have at least one adult seated with them. (This brings to mind the "Friend's episode where Ross ends up sitting at the kids table at Monica's and Chandler's wedding!).
