what is approprate age for all children in the wedding party
Between my fiance and I we have 4 nieces who will be 16, 7, 6, two 4 year olds and nephews who will be 12, 6, 4, 2 at the time of our wedding. Can we incorporate all the kids into the wedding and, if so, how? I know we have the girls as bridemaids and flower girls but what about the boys? Are they all ring bearers? How big should a bridal party be including the kids. Must I have my two sisters and his sister in the party with all of the kids or can I do just ask children to participate?

Dear Eagle,
The two year old is too young for any roll. He would likely scream and run. Even the four year olds may have trouble. But, they could be pages. The six year olds could be ring bearer and flower girls. The seven year old girl share the flower girl duty. The oldest could be jr. attendants. It is your decision on including the sisters.
You can include as many children as you feel will be able to hold up under pressure. It is usually a very good idea to have a couple of adults ready to scoop them up and take them to a seat if they become frightened.
If you only have children as your attendants, they will not be able to host any of the pre-wedding parties for you. But, these are optional any way. You also couldn't count on them to pick up their dresses or any other typical attendant's duty.
