     Groom doesn't want any groomsman

Help!

My fiance doesn't want any groomsmen or bestman. Nothing!

I've explained that if it is a matter of choosing he can pick as much as he would like. He said that wasn't the issue. He said he just didn't want any.

How do I convince him that he needs to have one. He thinks our guests are witness enough. I've explained someone will have to sign the marriage license but to no avail he doesn't want anyone standing up in it.

It is going to look awful funny with my Matron of Honor and flowergirl and no groomsmen. Any Ideas?

I appreciate it!

Dear Groom doesn't want,

Well, there is no law that says that he has to have any. However, there may be a reason why he doesn't want any that he hasn't revealed to you. This may be a good time to find out. You could let him know that this is his choice, but that you really would like to understand why. It may be very interesting to know.

He may be closer to a female than to another male, so perhaps he might be interested in having a female stand with him. That is one option if you can get him to talk about it. The sky is the limit these days.

Good luck,

What about him asking only his father to stand with him?
