     Best Man Having a Baby

Our Best Man's wife is due the week of our wedding. She is really upset by the thought of us getting married so close to her due date. We are worried that if she does have the baby our best man would have to leave the wedding. Is there any rules about this? They were pregnant before we set a day so should we honor the mother to be's wishes?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! Jessica

This is a very personal decision. There are no "rules" about planning your wedding around a bridal attendants due date. I would say that if you just could not bear to be without your best man at the wedding, and you have no deposits down or invitations printed, you might want to reconsider the date. Remember that babies have their own idea about what date they will be born. There's no real way of being 100% sure when this baby will arrive, unless the mother is having a cesarean section.
