     Can groomsman do double-duty?

Hi,

We have a rather large wedding party with 8 men standing up. Would it be all right for the groomsmen to also be the ushers for when the guests are arriving? Could they also light the candles at the beginning of the ceremony and unroll the aisle runner before the flower girl and bride walk down the aisle?
Thanks!

Dear FarminRaeRae,

Absolutely. This is common and proper.

Best wishes,
