     Can't pick Best Man!!!!

I have 5 groomsmen. Brother , cousin, nephew, and 2 real good friends. I can't pick between them all. I am lining them up next to me in order to size, smallest first which would be my 12 year old nephew. The Best Man does the toast is there anything else? Can I have the DJ announce the toast being made by Groomsman So-and-So. Please Help, any info is big help.....Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand what your question is. Are you asking us to help you decide who your best man will be or are you asking about toasts? Keep in mind that you must ask only one question per post since these two are totally different subjects.

No I don't want you to pick a best man for me. What I meant was is it unheard of to not have a best man? I would have 5 groomsman, and one of them would give the toast announced as a groomsman and not the bestman.

Dear Can't Pick,

There is no 'etiquette' law that states that you must include a best man. But, one would have to stand next to you and give you the ring, unless you carried it or gave it to the officiant. If you didn't want anyone to assume one was the best man, all of them would have to stand steps from you.

Best wishes,
