Do I have to have my brother as a groomsmen?

My brother and I aren't close anymore. I've recently found out that over the past few years he has been talking bad about me behind my back and I really don't want him in my wedding. Do I have to have my brother as one of my groomsmen? The only reason I would have him is because of my mom!

As mentioned in several previous posts, you should ask only those closest to you to be a groomsman. But, if you have other brothers and all of them are invited, that could be uncomfortable. In any case, speak to your mom and explain your feelings. But, you're not obligated to ask him.
