     "Extra" bridesmaid

As it stands so far, there are 4 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen. I am thinking of a close friend for a 4th groomsman, but I do not want to feel obligated to match my fiancee's attendants for numbers.

What is the appropriate processional for a mismatched bridal party? Could one groomsman escort two bridesmaids down the aisle, one on each arm? Or is this tacky?

No Swhertzberg, you are perfectly okay with having the two bridesmaids escorted by one groomsman. It happens all the time.
