     Groomsmen: close friends or in-laws?

Please help! I'm getting married in about 8 months and have no idea how to choose my groomsmen. I have two brothers who I intend to ask to be groomsmen. I've also been blessed with a fairly large group of close friends (about 8 guys) who I would like to include. Unfortunately, my fiance has 4 brothers that she would like to include as well. I've heard that bridal parties are getting larger, but 14 groomsmen seems like a lot.

I realize that family is very important and I don't want to offend my future in-laws by not including them. However, I don't want to dismiss the friends that I've grown up with in order to make room for her brothers who I don't know as well.

Is there another way that I can include them in the wedding besides being groomsmen?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Here is a good article about how to select your bridal party.
