     Ideas for groomsmen gifts

I have about 6 months to look for and pick out Groomsman's gifts and my problem is this. I have an eclectic mix of Groomsmen, and most of the "gifts" I see for sale I see as kind of hokey junk.

Four of the groomsmen are guys from High School, 1 was a college roommate. One doesn't drink (flask, beer mug, etc. out of question) only 1 smokes, occassionally (zippo, etc. out of question) and all 6 of us are travelling, so large items are out. Most of the gifts I see being given to groomsmen don't necissarily mean anything to the guys and they get shoved in drawers or cupboards never to be seen again (i.e. the zippo/money clip I got 2 years ago).

Advise for a "real" gift?

Giving gifts is a really personal decision. So many issues factor into the selection such as personality of the recipient and the giver, budget, hobbies, gender...etc.

Your idea of "junk" may be another person's idea of a great gift.

My son received a swiss army knife from my father and he carries it in his pocket but my fiance has one and he never carries it. My son has a wallet and my fiance uses a money clip he received from being a groomsmen at hsi sisters wedding over 25 years ago so...I thinnk you get the drift.

Think about these men and select something you think will be a useful reminder of your wedding day.

I would surely have suggested that swiss army knife but you may not be able to get on a plane with that. Check with the airlines.
