Should groom ask groomsemen to shave

My brother, the groom has requested the groomsmen wear no facial hair (i.e. goatee etc..) below the upper lip.

Is this a normal & reasonable request?

Very best regards,

matt

Unless someone has decided to grow a beard after they had been asked to be a groomsman, then no, they should not be expected to shave their goatee or beard for the wedding. You should not be asked to change your appearance for the wedding. However, all groomsmen should be, err, well groomed. Wink So, be sure to attend your look before the big day to ensure you're at your best.
