     Underage Brother as Best Man

The best man is my fiance's little brother, he is only 17 years old and he really isn't that into the wedding - he is excited but my fiance felt he had to make him is best man. He cannot handle responsibility very well and instead of a speech we are having him read a prayer before dinner. Is there another title we can give to his best friend, a groomsman? "Head Groomsman or First Groomsman" for he is going to have all of the responsibilities and duties of a best man - and he is old enough to give the groom a bachelor party.

Dear Best Man Woes,

This is your wedding, so you can create a title. There really is nothing wrong with it. I have heard of a 'Head Usher' so why can't you have a Head Groomsman? Sounds great.

Best wishes,
