     Usher/Reader Gifts?

Do ushers, readers and parents receive gifts from the bride and groom?

Gifts are given to wedding attendants (i.e.: honor attendants, bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers) and sometimes the parents, especially if they are making contributions toward the wedding. As for the readers, it would be nice if you gave them one because they are providing a role, albeit minimal, in your wedding. However, you are not obligated to. If you choose not to give them a gift, at the very least write them a thank you note.

Cheers!

I agree and would also advise that they be given a corsage or boutonniere.
