     bestman issue

Help!! I thought my fiance had picked his bestman and i accidentally let it slip to his friend only to find out that my fiance hadn't made a final decision and doesn't really want this man to be his bestman. How do we politely tell him that we made a mistake. I realize that i mispoke and it wasn't my place, but my fiancee's to tell him when he was ready.

Dear Bluefairy,

I believe that the best way is to say nearly what you said here. Be honest that you mispoke and that your fiance may not have come to a decision yet and apologize.

Best wishes,
