     bridesmaids and groomsmen

My fiance and I don't have any real close friends to be in the wedding party. My fiance will have his best friend as his best man and his dad will also be up there with him. My mother will be my matron of honor. I also have three brothers who I want to be in my wedding party ages 18-21. My 18 year old brother is the one who will walk me down the aisle. Two months before my wedding my 21 year old brother will be getting married to someone who I don't really know but have know for 2 years should I have his fiance in my wedding party as one of my bridesmaid since we will be family and since me and my fiance are invited to be in their wedding party?

If we were to have my brothers in the wedding is it okay to have an uneven number of bridesmaids and groomsmen? Should I have my 18 year old brothers girlfriend to be another bridesmaid as well? How about my fiances 24 year old sister?

Dear Wants Family as Attendants,

There can be an uneven amount of attendants on either side. But, you wouldn't have a large number of attendants on either side for a small wedding. You can have your brothers on your side. They can be your attendants. Plus, they don't have to wear dresses.:)

Your groom may want to have his father share the duty as Best Man or as his Best Man. To ask his father to be just a groomsman is not very complimentary.

Best wishes,
