My sister is my maitron of honor, her husband is one of my fiances groomsmen. They separated a few weeks ago, and it is not known whether or not they will reconcile. At the last minute, my brother in law backed out of the bachelor party weekend (fishing trip) at the last minute, and I'm concerned that he'll do the same at the wedding. My fiance and I would prefer that we make him and usher and change someone else to the groomsmen place. My sister thinks I'm being selfish. Usually, my fiance and I are the kind of people that work around everyone else to keep people happy, but we don't want to this time. We're paying for the wedding ourselves and don't want anyone moping around or being uncomfortable. What in the world am I going to do. I feel my fiance comes first - period. Please help me....

If your brother in law decides not to show up to the wedding at the last minute, what do you think will be the issue(s)? One less groomsmen? Uneven wedding pictures? I'd worry more about my sister and her feelings than having one less groomsmen. For pictures, have a dad who is already in a tux slip into that spot.
