     Babies at a Bridal Shower?

My MOH is hosting a bridal shower (females only) where several guests have multiple daughters. If I invite a guest with two daughters-- one age appropriate and one an infant-- do I have to invite both children? Or can I address the invite to the guest and the "older" daughter only? Thanks for your guidance in advance.

Dear Labride,

Since this is just a party that would last for a few hours (not too much time away from a baby) this would be fine. It is as if the older child is recognized as special--one of the women.

But, it should be the host's choice of guests. You could give her a list so she knows who is invited to the wedding. But, she decides if she wants babies and the number of guests.

Best wishes,
