Bridal Shower

My friend is getting married in North Carolina and we were going to have a bridal shower for her, is it proper to invite people to the shower that are not invited to the wedding, I say no, some are saying yes please help!!

You are correct. Please only invite to the bridal shower those invited to the wedding.
