Bridal Shower who can I invite?

I know it is not proper for the Mother of the groom to host a bridal shower but that aside, can I invite people I work with to the shower if they are invited to the wedding?

We cannot advise you on hosting for a party that is improper. Sorry.

I completely agree. Plus, this is not a party for the parents or their friends. Only those close to the couple are invited.

The wedding and everything that surrounds it is about the couple.
