My cousin lives in Texas. Her wedding is in Texas. I live in California and her bridal shower is going to be here. I am going to the shower but am wondering if I should mail the shower gift and card to her in Texas. Do I need to bring something to the shower? She would have to take my gift on the plane back to Texas.
Thank you.

Re: [tmtreacy] Bridal shower gift for out of state bride.

Dear Out of State Cousin,
Often we ship the gifts to the site of the shower. Gift opening is a major component of showers so having the gifts on site is important. However, you may want to ask the bride what she prefers. This is acceptable and is considerate of you to think of it.
If you ship your gift, you do not need to take anything to the shower.

Dear Out of state Cousin:
Rebecca is right. I'd go with asking the bride what she'd prefer. What we would do in a case like this is at the shower mention that the bride has already received your gift and state what it was. That way even though your gift may not be present, you still receive acknowlegement at the shower for the gift. Now, I can't say that is going to happen. It's just a possible scenario.
