I am a bridesmaid for a wedding this spring. The bridesmaids are throwing a shower for the bride and groom. (More of a party for the entire wedding party and close friends and relatives.) We have decided that the party favor will be "coozies" and want to have the bride and groom's names printed on them.
My question: is it tacky or inappropriate to put the wedding date on the shower favors before the wedding? Is it okay that we print the date on a favor that is given out 2 months before the wedding?

The entire reason for the shower is to celebrate the couple and their upcoming marriage. Therefore, having the date and their names imprinted should not be viewed as inappropriate.

Dear Can,
I completely agree. A shower helps everyone feel as if they are more a part of the wedding. This is appropriate and fun.
