     Does the girlfriend go?

My boyfriend's family is throwing a shower for his brother's fiance-who've I've met twice. I am not able to attend their wedding and am wondering if I should a)be invited to the shower and b)should I attend?

Family really shouldn't be hosting a shower unless the family member is also a member of the bridal party. And, only those close to the bride and groom should be invited. Since you're not attending the wedding, and they should know that by the time the shower is held, you shouldn't be invited to the shower nor are you obligated to send a gift.
