Giving a wedding gift after giving multiple shower gifts

I am the mother of the groom and my family and I have given 1 shower for the bride and we have been invited to 2 other showers so far. I have bought a gift for each occasion. I was wondering if I am expected to give another gift at the wedding? We are paying for a very large rehearsal dinner also. What is expected of the grooms family? I thought proper etiquette included only inviting guests to 1 shower.Wink

Dear Dalindsey,

As mother of the groom you were not supposed to host a shower, as family doesn't host. You are usually invited to all showers, but not expected to give a gift at each. You are expected to give a wedding gift.

There shouldn't have been more than 2 showers hosted for the couple.

Best wishes,
