Groom's family wants to host bridal shower

I am a bride who will be getting married in 6 months. I have a very close Aunt who wants to throw a bridal shower for my Mother's side of the family and my bridesmaids. I was wondering if it is proper for the Groom's side of the family to throw you a shower as well? I personally think that they should consider the money that the Bride's family spends on the wedding but my fiance does not agree. What to do?

Confused Crazy

Jessica -

No family members, unless they are member's of the bridal party, should be hosting a bridal shower. We have mentioned this many times in past posts. Please search or scan the bridal shower forum to see other past postings before posting new. Thanks!
