Hosting a Shower and giving a gift

IF you are hosting a bridal shower is it necessary to also give the bride-to-be a gift....if you have already attended one shower and given a gift?

This gets really expensive and I am already puttin gout alot of money to host the shower.

Dear Donnarae,

No shower gift is necessary if you have already given her one.

She shouldn't have more than two showers. So, if she has been hosted more than the other you mentioned, it would be best not host another one. Plus, these really shouldn't cost too much. Perhaps it could be scaled down. Please remember that this should be a small intimate event.

Best wishes,
