     Inviting coworkers?

My coworkers are giving me a shower in the office and inviting everyone in our department (about 20 people). Of those 20, there are only 7 that I work closely with or speak to on a regular basis. I have sent invitations to those 7 people and am now concerned that I haven't invited all of those that are being asked to attend my shower. To complicate matters more (or make things easier), I live and work 5 hours from where I will be getting married and I know most people won't even want to go to the wedding especially since it's so far away. Should I go ahead and send wedding invitations to everyone in my department regardless of the relationship, just because they were invited to the shower, or am I okay with what I've done?

Dear Inviting Coworkers,

Good news! The office shower is in a class by itself. Those invited to the office shower do not have to be invited to the wedding. This is just something nice that your coworkers do to show their support. No worries.

Best wishes,
