MOH hosted shower so should I still buy a wedding gift?

I hosted the shower with a bit of financial help from 3 others. I had asked the other bridesmaids in help with planning and financially all said yes but only 1 did help. so in the end I spent $1300. Including a gift. Should I still buy the couple a gift for the wedding?Unsure

That is a lot of money to spend on a bridal shower. However, if these three other people agreed to that cost they should pay you. Perhaps you should remind them of their promise?

But, the shower is an optional party you chose to host and chose the amount to spend. This has nothing to do with the wedding gift. You should still send one. If you're low on funds then just choose something less expensive or even home made.
