     Mother-in-law to lingerie shower?

I am hosting a lingerie shower for my friend. Do I have to invite the (in this case) mother-in-laws? The groom's mother and step-mother don't get along very well, and the bride isn't very comfortable with them yet. And she's a little uneasy wit the idea of receiving and displaying items she will be seducing their son with. Is it in bad ettiquette NOT to invite them? She's already had a bridal shower they've been invited to, where she received wedding registry gifts. Thanks!

Dear Friend,

You could host a friends only shower. This will help with the mommy problem.

Good luck!
