Should a bride receive an invitation to her own shower?
My future mother-in-law thinks that I should have received an invitation for my own bridal shower. The shower is not a surprise as I know the date...but that is all I know about it. Is it "normal" for the bride to receive an invitation to her own shower? Thank you.

Yes, you should receive one, but it isn't something most people know and it isn't that important. But, yes you should.
