Should bride be part of the bridal shower planning?

Should bride be part of the bridal shower planning? My mother is upset that I'm not telling my bridesmaids about shower details. I feel that it's not my place to plan the shower and that my attendants should do this if they want to give me a shower. If they don't then I am fine with that too. Am I in the right, or should I be involved with the planning?

The only part the bride has in the planning of the bridal shower is to provide information the host needs to plan the party. They will ask you for a suggested guest list and dates you are available. The rest is up to the host(s).

Mom's want to be involved, it's natural. Try diverting your mom's attention from the bridal shower by involving her in other wedding activities like dress shopping or addressing invitations.

Best of luck,
