Should out of state relatives be invited to the bridal shower

A great many of the bride's relatives live extremely far out of state and it would be difficult (and unlikely) for them to attend both the bridal shower and the wedding.

How do we handle the bridal shower -- invite them or not?

Dear Ladydi,

Inviting them is fine, but only invite those very close. Perhaps you could just invite her siblings, mother, and grandmother.

Best wishes,
