Shower Location for Out of State Bride

My Daughter, who lives in another state, is getting married. Her three sisters, who live close to home, are all bridesmaids. They would like to host a shower and have it at my home. Is that appropriate since I am MOB? We expect to have about 20-25 women attend. The other option is a restaurant since the bridesmaid's sisters live in small apartments.

Dear Bam,

If there was some way that no one would know that it was your home, then it wouldn't seem as if you were hosting. But, that is the issue. If it is held at your home, and the guests knew that it is your home, it may appear as if you are the 'real' host. So, use your best judgment here and decide for yourself what would appear most appropriate.

Best wishes,
