     Timing of Invitations

On Friday, 6/29, I received an invitation to attend a bridal shower next Saturday, 7/7. I'd have to travel about 3-1/2 hours each way. The bride will be my step-sister-in-law and I've only met her about three times.

I know I don't have to attend or sent a gift (I will, however--I know I'll hear about it otherwise), but was it in poor taste to send out invitations only a week in advance? I know it was in poor taste to invite me.

You obviously know right from wrong. Smile

You don't really need us to tell you. Besides, what will you do with this information now anyway?

Decline the invitation and only send a gift if you want to.

I understand - but pointing out when someone else is being impolite isn't proper so try to resist the urge to do that.
