     Timing of shower invitations

The matron of honor and I are plannig a shower and are wondering if it matters which invitation the guests receive first: the wedding or the shower? The bride has given us a guest list. However, she will wait until 6-8 weeks before the January wedding to sent out the invitations. We would like all shower guests to have enough notice. Is it okay to send shower invites first? We will make sure to invite only guests invited to the wedding.

Dear Steff,

It would be better if the guests received their wedding invitations first, but this should be fine. It should be a small group that is invited. So, they all should know that they are also invited to the wedding. Please remember that this is a small intimate party with no more than 35 guests. 35 is even quite a large group.

Best wishes,
