Tupperware party shower?

Hello,

I have read on this forum that it is okay on the shower invitations to indicate a themed shower, so long as the themed gifts are not expensive.

I've got my bridesmaids asking me what kind of shower I would like. I would love to have a Tupperware party shower (I'm a recent grad moving out and I have none), but I am having trouble figuring if this is the same thing as a 'theme' shower.

Would this be appropriate? Thanks for your advice. Smile

Dear Thatashleychick,

It wouldn't be appropriate to expect guests to purchase your gift during the shower. But, a storage container theme would be fine. Your attendants could probably think of some clever way to word this.

I think I'll just ask for a 'normal' shower, then host a typical Tupperware party a few months after the wedding and buy some myself. Smile
