When to have a bridal shower.

I am wondering if a bridal shower shall be held and the thank you cards sent out before the wedding invitations go out or if the wedding invitations should be sent then then bridal shower held?

Dear Kathyj,

The wedding invitations can be sent either before the shower or directly afterward. But, usually both go out around the same time, as the shower is best hosted two months to two weeks before the wedding.

The couple or their families do not host or invite. So, this party would have to be hosted by someone close who offers to host it.

Best wishes,
