Who should the bridal shower gift be from

I was invited to my boyfriend's cousin's bridal shower. I have purchased a gift on my own. I have known his family for over 10 years. Should the gift be from just me, or me and my boyfriend. Would it be any different if we were married? Wedding gift I know should obviously be from both of us.

Dear JKM,

It is your choice how you wish to address the card. But, it is you who is attending, and it is you who purchased and is giving the gift. So listing you as the giver, is very proper.

Best wishes,
