Wording Bridal Shower Invitation with No Children

What is the proper wording for asking that no children be brought to the bridal shower?

Dear Wpage,

There really is no polite way of stating on an invitation that no children are welcome. But, this should be a small, intimate affair. So, the host could verbally inform her/his guests that it is an adult function in a very polite manner.

Best wishes,
