     family member hosting bridal shower

My step son's wife asked if she could use our home to host a couples shower for my stepson. I don't think it is appropriate. She is married the the brother of the groom (who is in the wedding) and wants to have it at the home of the father of the groom. Are she and I "removed" enough for this to be appropriate?

No family member should host a shower unless they are a member of the bridal party. It should not be hosted at the parent's home though since this would seem self serving to your guests.
