My friend is having a Jack and Jill shower and guests are being charged to attend. I am already attending a bridal shower and have gotten a shower gift and got a wedding gift. Do I have to buy another gift since I am being asked to pay to attend the Jack and Jill? Is it okay to ask guests to pay to attend the Jack and Jill? THe couple already own their own home and have been together for many years. I do not know why guests are being asked to pay, since usually that is done when money is needed for a house or start up cost of living together.

Guests should never be charged to attend a shower. Tacky, tacky! You are already attending the bridal shower and wedding so take a stand and "just say no"! Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Oh my!!!
I completely agree. This is very improper. Plus, no one besides mothers and the attendants should be invited to more than one shower.
