I am helping my daughter host the bridesmaid luncheon. The luncheon is scheduled one week prior to the wedding. My daughter is having two younger honorary attendants (honorary junior bridesmaids) and a very young flower girl. The flower girl and her mother will be unable to attend due to distance. Must the two younger honorary attendants be invited as well as their mothers? Thanks very much.

I'm not familiar with "honorary junior bridesmaid" title, but it seems to suggest that these young women wouldn't really be involved in the wedding. Can you explain this title? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Sorry for the incorrect term....these are junior bridesmaids.

It would seem appropriate to include these young ladies and their moms since the focus of the lunch is to thank the bridal party members for their participation. These girls are participating, buying their dresses and accessories, so they should be included. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

I agree. The focus of the party is to thank the attendants, so all ladies should be invited. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
