I would like some ideas for a shower with a tropical theme. The shower will be held in June. We are also going with a luncheon style open house shower. We have 130 guests invited. I just need some ideas for different decorations to use like centerpieces and things. I really dont know where to begin.
Consider catering a luau with serving staff dressed for the occasion. Hawaiin style music might also help set the mood. Or hire a steel drum band.
How about Hawaiian leis for centerpieces with large fresh pineapples in the center with their green tops still attached. You could have florist create the leis with fresh flowers and let it encircle the pineapple.
When the evening is over present the centerpieces to the guest by picking names from a hat, numbering system, etc.
You might also see about purchasing inexpensive colorful party leis to present to your guests upon their arrival.
