Am I having a destination wedding?

I recently got engaged and my fiance and I are starting to plan our wedding. Neither of us have any attachment to our hometowns (Ohio and Albany, NY) and we currently live in New York City. We are opting not to have a wedding in the city because its not our style and none of our family live nearby. We are deciding to get married in Colorado, where my family has a vacation home and we have been visiting every year. Is this considered a destination wedding? If so, how many people should I invite? I would love to have all of my friends, but understand the cost of flying and getting a room in an expensive town. This is not a touristy place; just a typical mountain town. Help!
