We are getting married in Vegas in May and only inviting our parents. I would like to send out announcements after the wedding is this ok or just rude?
Sending announcements after the wedding is perfectly fine, in fact is the correct thing to do. Wedding announcements are a great way to share your happy news with friends and family who were not included on your guest list or, as in your case, if there was no guest list at all. Gifts are not expected but some recipients may choose to send a gift. The announcement is usually sent about three days after the wedding, if possible. If not, send as soon as you arrive back from your honeymoon. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
We are getting married at the MGM Grand in Vegas. They video tape the wedding and people can view the wedding live over the internet. Is it ok to send out post cards and/or emails letting family and friends know they can view it? Again, I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings.
You certainly can. Feelings run high with any wedding and with a destination they intensify. Relax and enjoy YOUR wedding. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
Thanks! I'll send out wedding/vegas decorated post cards 2-3 weeks before the wedding and then follow up with announcements after we get back. Maybe I'll get the announcements ready and send them from vegas so they have the Vegas post mark.
